What is "Can Chu-Hi"?



“Chu-Hi” is an abbreviation of “shochu highball,” which is made by mixing shochu with soda, like an ordinary highball made by mixing whiskey with soda.
Can Chu-Hi are canned sparkling alcoholic beverages. In Japan, for over 30 years, they have been popular for their ease to enjoy by simply opening the can.
In 1984, Takara Can CHU-HI debuted as the first canned Chu-Hi in Japan. This is a series of high-grade, premium Chu-Hi made of carefully selected shochu, fruits, and other ingredients.
